Ghosts, secret doors and writing on the wall all come to light during a home renovation on Jardine Street
From ghosts to secret doors, Scott Laing says he’s seen it all during his time on Jardine Street.
During a recent renovation at his Hespeler home, the Cambridge man uncovered hand written notes on the walls that has since sent him on a search to find out who the original owners were.
Laing always knew his house was old. It was constructed in the late 1800s, but he never paid too much attention to the history within its walls.
“We were taking off the wallpaper and that’s when we discovered it,” Laing says. “The past owners signed their names and dated it.”
