Jimmy Fallon, Cara Delevingne’s Tonight Show Home-Decor Chat

Photo: Architectural Digest/YouTube

Instead of converting it into a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cara Delevingne has chosen to live in the $10.8 million questionably decorated Gramercy Park triplex she bought from Jimmy Fallon. As she told Fallon on The Tonight Show this week, she loves the decor — basically the Overlook Hotel in The Shining with a maximalist color palette. “I’ve kept it all. It’s creepy,” she said. “I tried to design my house in L.A. basically like that without knowing that house.”

Delevingne is telling the truth! She has described her L.A. home — an English-country-style mansion built in 1941 for the founders of the Vons supermarket chain — as an “adult playhouse” and it lives up to the reputation: There’s a costume dress-up room, a Lynchian poker room, and, naturally, a ball pit. She cites escape rooms and Hugh Hefner as influences, both of which

One minute you have found a few delightful-looking glasses to display in your living room, and before long, your room resembles a circus-type hall of mirrors. Depending on how you decorate a room or even what shade of paint you use, it can create a variety of emotions. From soothing vibes to an atmosphere more conducive to lively interactions, you are ultimately in control of the feel of each room. So before you overdo it on antiquities, there’s a simple design ratio that can help to curb your passions.

By taking stock of each room, you should find that it follows the 80/20 rule. This means that 80% of your room will be dedicated to following a certain style, and the remaining 20% can be either accent pieces or antiques, according to Canadian artist

Cluttercore Is The Home Decor Trend That Makes Messy Look Mindful

As a social media-obsessed society, we have collectively witnessed (and maybe even taken part in) at least a few trending home aesthetics. There was the minimalist aesthetic of 2016, which was characterized by axing the excess and putting neutral-toned simplicity first. Then there was maximalism, the polar opposite of minimalism that can best be defined by an abundance of poppy paint colors and kitschy decor. The latest to hit the hall of home decor fame? Meet maximalism’s messy-but-in-a-cute-way cousin: cluttercore.

If you’re unsure of what to make of this up-and-coming term, cluttercore is exactly what it sounds like. With the hashtag #cluttercore amassing a staggering 58.9 million views on TikTok, enthusiasts of the movement have made it clear that “mess” is more than welcome. Cluttercore is all about embracing sentimentality and creating an intentional clutter of organized chaos. In short, there is nary a corner of a cluttercore room that
